Margaret Brown is a writer and storyteller with degrees in English, History, and Education. She enjoys volunteering at local Colorado schools, sharing the tradition of oral storytelling. Her first published children’s book, Caddy and Ann Find Freedom, addresses the themes of slavery, freedom and friendship set against the backdrop of the Civil War. Margaret aims to help children explore the values of kindness, empathy and courage through her writing. She resides in Colorado with her devoted partner, Bill, and their sweet grand-dog, Dixie.
